Montgomery County has received official notification that FEMA has declared a Major Disaster for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There are two ways for Montgomery County residents to immediately begin applying for assistance:
• Apply online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
• Call the application phone number at 1-800-621-3362 (TTY: 800-462-7585).
Additionally, the Department of Public Safety is working with FEMA to plan for a Disaster Recovery Center within the county. Please see the attachments for the official declaration and some additional fact sheets about individual assistance and hazard mitigation programs.
