Find a Recycling Event Near You!

Montgomery County has announced its 2020 schedule of recycling events, including household hazardous waste, tires, and electronics. For information on the event closest to you, go to

There is no county drop off facility for HHW; the events are the only Montco-sponsored options. County residents are also welcome to drop off at the HHW events in Bucks, Chester, and Delaware Counties and Philadelphia at no charge, giving Montco residents 29 collection event opportunities April through November.

Tires are generally not accepted as trash and must be recycled. Tire retailers usually accept used tires for a recycling fee of approximately $3-$5 per tire, see list at . Three free tire collection events will be held specifically to discourage illegal dumping and the spread of mosquito borne illnesses, see the attached flyer.

Montco has an agreement with “retrievr” for curbside electronic waste pick up and recycling which is available to all residents, see link

Most electronics are picked up for free, with fees for the following items only:

    1. $10 for each Microwave
    2. $35 for each standard TV or CRT Computer Monitor
    3. $100 for each Extra Large TV, Rear Projection TV or Wooden Cabinet TV

Drop-off location information can be found at at

Document Shredding: Montco does not hold countywide document shredding events. There are many local shred vendors that offer this service at a cost.
