Please take notice that the Borough Council of the Borough of Green Lane (“Council”) will discuss and possibly adopt a proposed ordinance, which is summarized below, at its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Borough Hall at the Green Lane Firehouse, 214 Main Street, Green Lane, PA.

Summary of Proposed Ordinance
This proposed ordinance of the Borough is an ordinance to effectively regulate the installation, operation, maintenance, and retirement of grinder pumps and any associated low-pressure sewer systems and laterals within the Borough not otherwise subject to a valid grinder pump agreement enforceable by the Green Lane-Marlborough Joint Authority.
The proposed ordinance deletes, amends and restates Article VII of Chapter 319 of the Borough Code (relating to the regulation of grinder pumps) and includes sections addressing (i) its purpose, (ii) applicability, (iii) owner responsibility, (iv) grinder pump use, (v) compliance date, (vi) installation; operation; maintenance, (vii) documentation and disclosure, (viii) enforcement and penalties, (ix) repealer and ratification, (x) severability, and (xi) enactment and effective date of the proposed ordinance.
