PUBLIC NOTICE – BOROUGH OF GREEN LANE

Please take notice that the Borough Council of the Borough of Green Lane (“Council”) will discuss and possibly adopt a proposed ordinance, which is summarized below, at its regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Borough Hall at the Green Lane Firehouse, 214 Main Street, Green Lane, PA.

All interested persons are invited to attend.  If you are a person with a disability and wish to attend the above-noted meeting and require a service or other accommodation to participate in the proceedings, please contact the Borough of Green Lane (“Borough”) at (215) 234-8633 at least two (2) days prior to the date of the meeting to discuss how the Borough may best accommodate your needs.

Full copies of the proposed ordinance may be examined (i) during regular office hours at the Borough Hall at the Green Lane Fire House, (ii) during normal business hours at the Law Library of Montgomery County, located on the 10th floor of One Montgomery Plaza, 425 Swede Street, Norristown, PA, and (iii) during normal business hours at the office of the newspaper in which this Public Notice appears.

Summary of Proposed Ordinance

This proposed ordinance of the Borough is an ordinance to preserve and protect private and public property from the damaging effects of the spread of certain invasive, nonnative plantings, such as bamboo; to protect indigenous plant materials from the invasive spread of nonnative plantings, such as bamboo; and to maintain the general welfare of the residents of the Borough.

The proposed ordinance includes sections addressing (i) its purpose and intent, (ii) definitions of various terms and words used in the proposed ordinance, (iii) planting and growing restrictions for bamboo, (iv) bamboo owner responsibilities, (v) removal of bamboo from Borough property, (vi) notice of violation provisions in the event that there is any bamboo growing or remaining upon such premises in violation of the provisions of the proposed ordinance, (vii) violations and penalties for any person who violates the provisions of the proposed ordinance, (viii) repealer, (ix) validity, and (x) the effective date of the proposed ordinance.

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE – Green Lane IDA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Green Lane Industrial Development Authority (the “Authority”) will meet and hold a public meeting of the Authority on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 6:50 p.m., prevailing time, at the Green Lane Borough Hall at the Green Lane Firehouse, 214 Main Street, Green Lane, PA, for purposes of (1) holding the annual meeting of the Authority, and (2) conducting such other business that will come before the Authority.  All persons interested in the foregoing are invited to attend this meeting.

IDA Meeting December 8

The Green Lane Industrial Development Authority will hold a public meeting on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 6:50 P.M. at the Green Lane Borough office at the Green Lane Firehouse, 214 Main Street to discuss and review general Authority business, including a modification to the Authority’s $3,663,000 Series 2014 Revenue Bonds (Gloria Dei Project), which project is located in Hatboro, Upper Moreland Township. All persons interested in the foregoing matter are invited to attend this meeting.
